5. About the competition

MakeX is an international robotics competition and education platform that promotes multidisciplinary learning within the fields of science and technology. It aims at building a world where STEAM education is highly appreciated and where young people are passionate about innovation by engaging them in activities such as exciting robotics competitions, STEAM carnivals, tech events, and educational conferences.

MakeX Spark is a creative event for young people aged 6-13 years. It comes in two forms: online event and onsite event. Contestants are encouraged to use a variety of materials to design and build their projects. Through project-based learning, contestants enhance their imagination and creativity; through critical thinking and real-world problem research, they improve their cross-disciplinary problem-solving skills.
